About this app

Data Mapping Exploration

What is this app for?
An investigation into how the OpenApply admissions forms and fee records could link to the Finance Department's move to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. It is documentation and evidence, not a live data feed.
Who can access it?
School staff with a Microsoft 365 account, and vendors the school has invited by email. If you need access, ask the Tech Team.
  • Staff access
  • Invited vendors

What it covers

Which admissions fields exist, and which of them show who paid what.

The evidence, in one place

Every OpenApply student, parent and fee field the school can see: its name, its type and how often it is filled in. No pupil or parent values are held here.

Where the money shows up

The fee types that exist, how a payment appears, and what a fee record cannot tell you. The vendors can see exactly what Business Central would be given.

The join key and its gaps

How a payment can be matched to the right pupil and family, and where it cannot yet. Applicants have no BKK code, and they are the families paying the application fee and the deposit.

A mapping table to work in

OpenApply to iSAMS to Business Central, with an owner and a status for each line. It downloads as a spreadsheet.

Open questions, with owners

What is still unknown, who can answer it, and what has been settled.
